The internet is powerful, but not everything you see online is real.

Recently, Singapore has seen an increase in job scams, especially targeting students and job seekers. Many fake job listings promise high salary, flexible hours, or easy work — but their real goal is to steal your money or personal information.

Job Scams Are Increasing

Scammers may:

  • Pretend to be real companies
  • Offer unrealistic salary
  • Ask for upfront payment
  • Request personal information early
  • Contact you through Telegram or WhatsApp immediately

Always verify before applying. You are never at a loss for verifying — in fact, verification makes you more confident about the job you apply for.

Don't waste your opportunity. Not everything online can be trusted. Always verify. Always be aware.

How to Verify a Job in Singapore

Before applying:

  • Search the company on Google
  • Check company website domain
  • Look up company on ACRA / LinkedIn
  • Check reviews online
  • Verify official email address
  • Never pay money for a job

If something feels suspicious → trust your instincts.
